I loved how friendly and kind our waiter was. With it being just my boyfriend and I, our waiter made sure we were well aware of the portion which helped us a lot in the end. Did not have to waste any food at all. Service was great! Food was great! Atmosphere was just perfect.

This place is my favorite. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this one I keep coming back again and again. The team is very affectionate and the cooking they place on your table is so yummy. I would always prefer to have a good meal here. I highly recommend this place.

What an amazing experience! I went there for my birthday, and it was a great decision!! From start to finish, the service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious! They treated us so well, and you can tell they care about every one of their guests. I will definitely be back, and can't wait to try more of their food! I highly highly recommend whether it's for a special occasion, or you just want a nice dinner!

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary of 19 years and decided to go to a nice restaurant. We had Cory as our server and he helped give us a wonderful experience! The service and the food were top notch and we will definitely be going back (and request to be in Cory's section again). Thank you Capital Grille for an awesome evening of memories!

we went for our anniversary, they surprised us with champagne for me and my husband and fancy juices for our kids to celebrate and later dessert. absolutely love this place, the food was amazing and the service was phenomenal even there was little note from chef that said thank you for dinning with them when they packed the leftovers. celebrate your anniversary, birthday or any big occasion with The Capital Grill they know how to treat you special on your big celebration.

Delicious from the signature vodka and pineapple cocktail to the dessert. Cozy atmosphere, I had a lot of fun. Pricey.

One of the best steakhouses in Minneapolis. Great service although not very welcoming unless you're in a suite or cocktail dress. You will not find better calamari anywhere!

This place is not for any occasion! It is expensive and fancy but also a bit cocky. We had a few people in our group that had their hats on (some for religious reasons) and the hostess order them “no hats inside!”, so we started on the left foot... other than that, the service was honest and very good! The food was very good! I’ve order a fish (in a steak house ;-) ) which was very very good! There was one mistake by our waiter, he told us there are no lamb chops but as you can see from the pics, there was. I would recommend it for special occasions or if someone else inviting you. #LKTG

I expect a much better lunch at a place in the downtown area listed as fine dining... I'm told that I should really come back sometime for dinner as that is where they apparently shine. In my party we ordered the chicken, salmon, and the signature burger. The chicken was just fine - nothing special. I would recommend the burger but if you want a great burger, there are plenty of other options in the area. The salmon stole the show in terms of being inedible. The citrus glaze was far too sweet and there was way too much of it. I felt as though I was eating candy like... melt down some startbursts and put it on a piece of fish. I could hear the spirit of Gordon Ramsey screaming, "What are you doing?! You've ruined this perfectly good piece of fish!" It was truly awful and I will probably never come back here. The Lobster Bisque was mediocre and flavorless at best. The only redemption that earns a star is the excellent wait staff. the service here was really wonderful.

Amazing. I have fallen in love with this place from the very first time I was here for my work party in December. My boyfriend and I just came here for our anniversary and they did whatever they could to make it perfect for us. Sprinkled hearts on the table, champagne toast, small but tasty app, and an adorable desert plate that had "happy anniversary" written in chocolate. Not only was the experience amazing but the food and drinks are to DIE FOR!! One of my favorite places. :)

Amazing food and service. We had a great time for my wife's birthday and the lobster Mac and cheese was amazing. Our server Tony was great and attentive and he made the experience great overall with everything he did for us.

I ordered the Mother's Day cook at home Beef Tenderloin dinner for my family. First I'd like to state that my own culinary abilities are about at the "Craft Mac N Cheese with a dash of hot sauce" level.Dinner came out beautifully. The directions were clear and concise. All the dishes were able to be prepped with an oven, stove top and a microwave so that everything was able to be served hot and at the same time from a home kitchen. The tenderloin and the lobster Mac N Cheese were the real highlights (we were too full to eat the dessert as of this writing). My wife normally does not care for lobster Mac N cheese and she couldn't stop talking about how good this was. And, bonus, when I told her how much it cost, at her insistence, it was less than half of what she thought it would cost.We're thrilled with the meal and will definitely be back for more. Thanks for making our Mothers Day weekend a great one!

Classic looking steakhouse... With attentive staff. Definitely on the pricier side but the food is good and comes out hot. Ask about the sizes of their steaks because some are huge and probably too mach for people with smaller appetites.

Yes it's a chain but there's a reason why. It's good, really good. They have it down and are more consistent than not. I usually go there for Porcini rubbed Delmonico steak which is one of my favorite steaks. But I couldn't pass up the Wagyu burger special they have going on. For twenty-five dollars you get a choice between three Wagyu burgers and three different wine selections to pair with them. If the delicious burgers and fries don't sway you then the top shelf wine should. I was blown away with the Cabernet Sauvignon from Beringer, Knights Valley Reserve, Knights Valley, 2015. But even the blend was delicious too. All in all it was a great night and delicious food.

The meals and service were beyond our expectations. We truly liked the ambience of this place. Amazing place to take the family out for dinner.

The best steak house in the Twin Cities. Food, environment and service is top notch. Their cocktails are also unreal!! I prefer The Capital Grille to all other high end steak house in the Twin Cities.

One of the best place having steak in twin cities. We ordered a NY strip and tenderloin with lobster, which are absolute delicious. The dessert is yummy as well!

The Filet Oscar is to die for. Yes, it's worth the money and you need to indulge! Treat yourself! My dad and I went to this place before a play at the theater. Service was fast. Valet parking was a piece of cake. The waiter was beyond accommodating. Our food was absolutely amazing. Literally the best steak I've ever had in my life. The ambiance of this place is delightful. I definitely recommend.

We didn't make a reservation and definitely should have, but were able to sit at the bar to eat. Did their Wagu and Wine experience which is seasonal and amazing value! Staff were so friendly and helpful

The Capital Grille is excellent, I recommend it for anyone visiting the city and for any special dinner! Every time we've came the service has been some of the best we've ever experienced. Needless to say, the food is truly outstanding. The selection of wine and suggested wine pairings are always incredible. The atmosphere is sophisticated and classy, but still relaxed and comfortable. You feel pampered when you dine here, as you should. I can't stress enough how wonderful the staff is here.

Last night I came to The Capital Grille for the first time and wouldn’t be typing this if it wasn’t absolutely deserved! Cory Hays was my server and he was personable and informative. He made my experience from the start memorable with his recommendations, polite manners, and quick service. Cory is someone you ideally want as your server when you come to an amazing restaurant like The Capital Grille. The food was delicious and delivered in good time and the service was even better. I’ve always loved the quote by Walter Payton, “when you’re good at something, you tell everyone. When you’re great at something, everyone tells you.” Thank you for being great, Cory!

This place is unquestionably one of the most pleasant place in the region. Anytime I come to this place I am highly pleased. They hold their high level service and the highest level of dishes they serve. You can never go wrong with this place. Very recommended.

last night was the first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the magnificent cooking and wine and with the decent payment. We will definitely return there soon.
